I grew as a young professional and woman through those experiences that challenged and pushed me to be my best self. And the reason I made it through those challenges was that I always had support from my sisters. I love the sisterhood and always knowing someone has my back. The organization is always listening to its members and strives to provide the best experience for everyone that it can. What You Love About the Wichita Alumnae Association: I love that I can experience sisterhood with my Mom first hand as alumna sisters! It is absolutely amazing that the women of Kappa have carried on the tradition of leadership and sisterhood for so many years. What You Love About the Wichita Alumnae Association: The friendships, networking and community service. “Not 4 years, but for life” is more than simply a saying. Advice For Recently Graduated Kappas: Upon graduation, whether relocating or staying in the same city, your Kappa alumnae group is an instant connection to your Kappa sisters. When I moved to Wichita, I immediately gained another whole group of friends called alums. What I didn't realize at 18 but I understand now is that the larger goal of Kappa is the betterment of women everywhere. What is there not to love about that? What You Love About the Wichita Alumnae Association: In addition to having the opportunity to work with many other interesting Kappas, I sincerely appreciate the varied programs and projects that we have for our meetings. Founders Day Chairman/Public Relations

Your Alma Mater & Kappa Chapter: Wichita State University, Eta Upsilon Why You Love Being A Kappa: From the golden keys to the blue dresses, Kappa has been one of the most fulfilling aspects of my life. I have a constant group of sisters that I know are here to support me. I have an organization that I believe in and whose values inspire me to be the best version of myself everyday. What You Love About the Wichita Alumnae Association: Our Association has one of the most amazing and strong group of women that I have ever met. They have all inspired me in more ways than one. There’s a saying about how you are, whom you hang out with, and I can honestly say that I am lucky to hang out with these women throughout the year. Advice For Recently Graduated Kappas: I would honestly advise them to take a break from social media and to take the time to focus on themselves. The most important relationship you will ever have is your relationship with yourself. Social media is a highlight reel of people’s best moments; therefore, it can really bring you down if you are not where you necessarily want to be post grad. Get involved with the alumnae association where you will be living. The women that you will meet will truly be such a network of support and love.
